Flash of floral

Top - Topshop
Joni Jeans - Topshop
Boots - Topshop
Necklace - Swarovski
Bag - Mulberry

Long time no blog! I work in my local pub and basically, the hours they're giving me are full time whilst I'm off uni for the summer. So, I have no time to do anything really...

Managed to take a few photos of an outfit I wore out shopping the other day. The weather was quite gloomy so, I dressed all in black but wanted to add a bit of colour with the floral blazer/jacket. I love this jacket but I don't wear it enough. I bought it from the Miss Selfridge sale about 5 years ago and it is an item I won't throw away.
I'm wearing it with my Topshop Joni jeans, which are so high waisted and so comfortable and goes so well with crop tops! and the Topshop cami which is light and is perfect with everything. They have it in so many colours.. I know the boots I'm wearing aren't exactly blogger material as they're not cut out but still, these are a nice pair just to throw on - from Topshop again (I am slightly obsessed with Topshop!!)

I also had to feature my new ring from The Bohemian Co. It was £1 in the sale!! (just looked now and it's 50p) I couldn't believe the price and when it arrived in the post I fell in love even more. It's a silver quartz knuckle ring. It's heavy but, It made me feel quite powerful wearing it haha! They have sooo many lovely items on their website, I especially love their turquoise items like this ring.  I thought I'd contrast the rugged-ness of the ring with my delicate Vivienne Westwood watch and Swarovski Polly pendant necklace.

Two Piece

Two piece - Laura Ralph Designs

I had to show my new two piece by Laura Ralph Designs. I've been after one of these for sooo long and they're in such high demand on her Facebook page, I just jumped at this one. I love it.

It's a lovely light fabric and leaves plenty of room, especially in the shorts. I really do not like shorts that cling to the thigh so when you sit down it leaves a bulge even when they fit you on the waist!
I love the idea of two pieces because you can mix and match with different items in your wardrobe. I literally cannot wait to wear this in Rhodes in 4 weeks time. This is my new favourite buy!

Lunch with a friend

Blouse - Mink Pink via ASOS (old)
Skirt - Urban Outfitters (old)
Boots - Topshop (old)
Bag - Mulberry

I've decided I hate taking photos in my bedroom but, I had to today as the weather was so on/off I didn't want to risk it. Also, it's been a while since I've posted as I've been manic in work at my local pub which gives me hardly any spare hours... Can't complain as every penny helps! Especially as I'm trying to build up a holiday wardrobe for a friend's wedding in Rhodes (4 weeks and counting)

I went out for lunch today with an old friend who I lived with in uni and I haven't seen her since May so, we met up which was lovely. Nice to have a catch up. I wanted to wear something floaty and light as although it's torrential rain, it's heavy too.

I love this Mink Pink polka dot blouse, it's something a little different, although it does crease so easily and it's so hard to iron right (only my Nan can do it properly!!) I've paired it with this Urban Outfitters skirt as I like a little clash of prints. I also love these Topshop boots that I had for Christmas from my grandparents. They are one of the most worn pair of boots in my cupboard. I always pair them (and any of my boots) with socks. Today I went white to match the dots on my blouse.

Hope you like my look, and sorry the photos are the best!!

Summer Stripes

So, I thought I'd get back out in the open to take some photos and really happy with how these turned out... Definitely needing a new camera ASAP though.

I love this Topshop denim dungaree dress, I love the 90s fashion and as I'm a 90s kid it reminds me of being a little girl... I have paired it with this Topshop striped crop top which is definitely a summer staple. Crop tops can be worn with just about anything and they are one of my favourite summer buys.

My sandals were a Topshop bargain, only £18 last summer which I literally wear with everything but I'm lusting after another pair of sandals in the form of Topshop black flatforms. I found a website nexttonowt.com which sells famous name shoes at cut prices (perfect for a poor student!) and I have found the Topshop flatforms I've been lusting after but not able to afford at normal price, here. Which I will definitely be buying on payday!! They also sell sooo many other beautiful shoes, I so wish I could afford them all.

I caved and bought a skort the other day so will be putting an outfit together and blogging that as soon as... Had to jump on the bandwagon really ;)

Polka Dots

Just a quick post today, not the best as I couldn't get anyone to take my photo and the backgarden was occupied and I'm not confident yet to pose in front of other people!

Did any of you have thunder and lightning last night/this morning?! I was woken about 3am by crashing and flashing of the thunder and lightning. I looked out the window and it scared me so much I jumped straight back into bed under the duvet!!

I was expecting the weather to be cooler today, hence the boots and the blouse over the top of the crop but turns out it was boiling and I felt very sweaty wearing this whilst taking the dog for a walk!! I love this blouse from Urban Outfitters but never seen to get the chance to wear it. I have obsession with polka dot things so this is probably why I love it!

Sock and Sandals

   Dress - H&M
Headband - Dorothy Perkins
Sandals - Topshop
Bag - Zara

So, I finally roped my boyfriend into taking some pics of me. We decided to go down to Caldicot moors, along the Welsh Coastal Path / Llwybr Arfordir Cymru as the back drop of the sea and the Severn Bridge is pretty nice in my opinion. Especially in the sun!

If you read my last post, you'd have seen that I've rekindled a love with H&M and this dress was one I'd been after for a while, after seeing it on another blog in white. The white was sold out when I looked so I went for this colour, which I think is a good alternative. Love the dress and at £12 you can't go wrong. Although, it was swealtering hot when I took these photos and ended up having the dress stuck to me because of the fabric (gross I know). Also, absolutely love my Topshop sandals! They're patent with a rubber sole and chunky heel. They're one of my favourite shoe sale buys and after lusting after them and getting them for £22.50 I was pretty happy. I love the socks and sandal look (not quite on old men with shorts mind) so I paired them with my frilly Topshop ankle socks for a cute, girly look.

And as you can see, I jumped on the floral headband bandwagon. I wouldn't usually buy anything like this, but I've seen them around so much, I fancied one. So when I saw this one in the Dorothy Perkins sale at £6.25 I thought I might as well have it! I'm going to my friend's 21st festival themed party on the weekend and I'm thinking this will be perfect for the occasion.

I've not blogged in a while as I've been finding it hard to take decent photos on my tripod and my camera isn't up to scratch. So a new camera is on the wish list! Also, I'm a bit worried about promoting my blog on social networking sites as I don't think the people I know will be very, well, accepting. (small town syndrome). Did any of you feel lkike this when you started a blog? and did you open new accounts on Instagram/Twitter especially for your blog? This is what I'm considering to get out there!

Sun's Out!

Body - Topshop
Skirt - ASOS
Sunglasses - ASOS
Boots - Fearne Cotton for Very.co.uk

Just a quick post, as I'm off to yoga at my friends... I ran 3 miles today and had my hair done so I've quite been busy...

Just wanted to show my bargain buys, being my Topshop body (£9!) which I absolutely love, it's so comfortable. The gingham pattern is lush and being a body you can pair it with most things and I'll use it as a swimming costume on my holiday (9 weeks!) as it's so versatile! I paired it with my leather look skater skirt and my ye olde faithful Fearne Cotton spiked heeled boots.

I also love my new ASOS sunglasses. I've been looking for a round pair for a while but I've been skimping quite a bit but when I found these in the sale I thought I had to have them!

Hope you like my look. The photos are rubbish, I couldn't get a good photo as the sun was behind me but hopefully you get some idea.

Festival Fringe

 Top - ASOS
Shorts - Topshop
Boots - Urban Outfitters
Sunglasses - Ebay
So, here goes. My very first blog post! I thought as it's festival season I would go for a festival look. I'm not actually going to a festival this year, which is gutting but this is something I would definitely wear...

I love the fringe trend at the moment and thought my ASOS leather look, fringed crop top would work well with my Topshop high waisted denim shorts - perfect for the summer and my favourite leopard print flatforms are great for stomping around in!

Taking these photos was awkward. Trying to explain to my grandparents why I was taking a tripod outside and hiding from my neighbour to avoid questions. Hope you like my look! And if you have any tips or any help I would appreciate as I am completely new to this!
