Checkin' it out

Went out for dinner last night with the fam... very tasty and very funny evening. Lots of wine was consumed. I did start to do Dry January with the boyf but we broke after 25 days, think that was a rather good effort if I do say so myself.

If you've read my other posts you'd have seen I went for an interview for the PGCE in Swansea. I received an offer from them which is brilliant and I have interview #2 tomorrow in Cardiff. So, fingers, toes, legs, everything crossed because that's the one I really want.

If you do take a look at my blog and like it, why not follow on bloglovin' too?! I really appreciate new followers :)

Hope you like my look!

New hair & tartan playsuit

So, I went to the hairdresser today. Got my roots done and thought I'd try a different style - middle parting, no fringe. Bit different for me as I always hide behind my fringe. Feel like a 90's boy band member but if I can't cope with it, then all I gotta do is dry it my normal way! Not a drastic change...

I wore this ASOS tartan playsuit (which doesn't really suit my petite frame, hence the belt) with my Zara (sale buy) cropped jumper. Which I LOVE and my beautiful silver monk shoes. I had a comment from my hairdresser today "I have no idea how you pull those shoes off." Well, pulling them off is the main thing!!

Still not heard from interview #1 which is annoying as I hate waiting. I have interview #2 on Friday so, hopefully by next week I'll know if I'll be training to be a Welsh teacher in September or if my life is over!

Interview #1

So, I am aspiring Welsh teacher and today was step #1 in the process. I had my first PGCE interview... Exhausting experience but I think it went well after SO much stressing done by me.
I left the house at 6:30am, got to the interview for 9am and didn't leave until half 2. Long... 4 tasks, a one-to-one interview and a group discussion. Hopefully it'll be worth it and I'll get an offer.

Anyway, I thought I'd do a post of my interview outfit. And show you another sale splurge. Because I decided I'm worth it ;)

Please excuse my tired, grumpy face!!

Keeping it casual

Needed to show off my uhhh-mazing shoes I had for Christmas off my equally uhhh-mazing boyfriend. He always gets it completely right! I love having a 'quirky' item to wear and these are one of those items... I've had a few mixed reviews but I love them!!

I'm off to see the second Hobbit film now, dreading it a bit as the first one was just waaaay too long but I'm hoping this is going to be a bit more bearable...

Simple, yet effective

I thought I'd combine the leather tee and vinyl skirt to create a simple, yet effective outfit. I kept everything else to a minimum to let the clothes do the talking.

Starting a new...

So, I started this blog in July and gave up in August. I was finding it really difficult to get good photos of outfits and basically, had no confidence. I am pretty annoyed at myself though 'cos I had lots of good events happen that I could've blogged about and lots of good outfits to match too! (Including a James Bond themed party where I met and had a cheeky selfie with Boxing World Champion - Joe Calzaghe)

I thought I'd have another go... I've done a bit of January sales shopping so, I thought I'd share some of my favourite pieces. Including an absolute bargain of a Topshop Leather Tee from the Kate Bosworth collection (nearly £70 off) SAY WHAAAT?! Here goes...

Absolute beaut and bargain of a tee!!

I am a Topshop and sale obsessive and when the two words are combined, I just can't help myself. I barely ever buy anything full price. I am a poor student after all and with Topshop giving student discount on top of sale, it's a lose/lose situation for me.

I HAVE to stop spending soon though... In August I'm going to Sri Lanka for a month - travelling for 2 weeks and then volunteering in an orphanage, teaching English and working in the community. (All the more reason to get start on the blog again)
